Universität Karlsruhe was founded in 1825. It is located in the city of
Karlsruhe, Germany, and is the oldest and also one the most prestigious
technical universities in Germany.
Universität Karlsruhe is recognized as one of the leading research
universities in Germany. It has recently merged with Forschungszentrum
Karlsruhe to form the new institution, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
